Leaf Development

Leaf Anatomy
-Simple leaf
Lady's finger plant has large, alternate, palmate leaves with small stipules. Leaf margins vary from slightly wavy to very deeply lobed. It consist of a red pigmentation at the base of the leaves.

In addition to gaining height, lady’s finger's leaves get bigger as the plants grow.
Change in leaf shape
Leaf margins vary from slightly wavy to very deeply lobed. 
The leaves of the lady's finger plants show different in their shape. The images below show the shape of differences leaves

Observation:
The morphology of leaf change and different compare to previous leaf.
The new leaf will grow bigger than previous leaf.
The average time for a new leaf to emerge is 3-4 days.
The time for the leaf to undergoes senescence is longer compare to previous leaf.

The recording of leaf emerging from shoot was only able to record until week 7 since when we back from the mid sem break, the plant become unhealthy and some of the leaf fall or eaten by insects. Besides that there are many lateral leaf emerge. It make us cannot record the data accurately.
